I was on 30 Rock last night! I knew that I might be on at some point because, well, I shot a scene for it. But I had no idea when. So it was last night in the first 10 seconds of the show where I basically play my reality as a dad for the benefit of America’s amusement.
It’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it TV moment, but that’s how they typically run for me! Anyway, Alec Baldwin insults me which is fun. And on the shoot it was good fun listening to him and Salma Hayek talk all “Hollywood” nearby. Oh the glamour!
I went out to Naperville, IL to shoot a Carrabba’s commercial. Like most commercials I do, I play someone slightly unhinged. We shot at night in a Carrabba’s restaurant and so by the end of it, I really didn’t know what I was saying.
Fun times though! I’ll post it when I have a copy…

“Interesting Tidbits:” I don’t smoke and had a horrible time lighting the cigarette for the first of these scenes. I bought the shoes I wore from the wardrobe department for $20. I had a line about a cat getting stuck in the garbage disposal that got cut.
“Interesting Tidbit:” This scene was shot in an incredibly decrepit building in Harlem which is almost certainly now luxury condos.
